Treatment Options by Stage

Stage I Mycosis Fungoides

Treatment of stage I mycosis fungoides may include the following:

PUVA therapy. Biologic therapy may also be given.
Radiation therapy. In some cases, radiation therapy is given to skin lesions, as palliative therapy to reduce tumor size or relieve symptoms and improve quality of life.
Topical corticosteroid therapy.
Retinoid therapy.
Topical or systemic chemotherapy.
Biologic therapy. Topical chemotherapy may also be given.
Targeted therapy.
A clinical trial of a new treatment.

Stage II Mycosis Fungoides

Topical or systemic chemotherapy.
