Resources for patients and others dealing with the disease

Kids Can Cope Monthly Group

From the minute a parent or other family member is diagnosed with cancer or another serious illness, routines can be disrupted. A sense of worry about what lies ahead can also be tough for young people who don't know others in the same situation.

Kids Can Cope is a free monthly group for kids between the ages of 7-14 who have a sibling or other family member diagnosed with cancer, ALS, COPD, diabetes, seizure disorder or other serious medical condition. Fun, age-appropriate activities, crafts, and games with kids their age helps them develop healthy coping strategies. The group is led by medical professionals and includes a snack and art supplies at no charge.

Registration is required by a parent or guardian prior to youth attending the group for the first time.
