Breast Cancer Support Group

Open to all breast cancer patients and survivors, no matter where you may be in your breast cancer journey.

When:  
First Tuesday of the month, 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Meets: February 6, March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, September 4, October 2, November 6, December 4
(*No meeting in January July or August)

Leukemia, Lymphoma or Myeloma Support Group

The Leukemia Support Group provides encouragement and information to cancer patients and families dealing with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and multiple myeloma. The goal of the group is to encourage great communication between patients and their medical team, as well as their families and friends. Group meetings are facilitated by a medical social worker and an oncology nurse and are a great place to discuss feelings, and exchange important information.

Parent Support Group

This group is for parents who have a child with a cancer or hematology diagnosis. A light meal and child care is provided for those parents attending the support group.

When:  
Second Wednesday of the month, 5:00 - 6:30 pm

January 10, February 14, March 14, April 11, May 9, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14 (*No meetings in June or December so you can attend community events we have planned.)

Young Adult Cancer Support Group

This is a social group for cancer survivors (18 to 30-something), who get together for dinner, trivia, or just to hang out. No doctors or therapist. Just a group of new friends who can relate to the ups and downs of the cancer roller coaster.

Our group is a great mix of guys and gals, with a wide variety of cancer and blood disorders represented. In treatment or out, join us! This is a free event.

Essentia Health Classes

These classes are offered free of charge and no registration is required. Come and join us and bring a friend if you would like.


Gentle Yoga

This free class focuses on gentle postures, breathing exercises, and guided imagery/meditation. The combination allows a person to experience deep relaxation, which can help improve energy in day-to-day life.

Road to Recovery

If you foresee finding a ride to treatment being a problem, the American Cancer Society may be able to help. With at least four days advance notice, our Road to Recovery program may be able to arrange free rides to and /or from treatment for people with cancer who don’t have a ride or can’t drive themselves. Screened and trained local volunteers use their personal vehicles to take patients to appointments so they can receive the lifesaving treatment they need.

Hotels Partners Program

The Hotel Partners program is a cooperative effort with local hotels who provide free overnight accommodations to cancer patients who must travel for outpatient treatment and need a place to stay. With at least five days advance notice, patients may receive this service provided they meet eligibility requirements. Fulfillment is also subject to availability and to restrictions imposed by the participation hotels.
